Who we are

Overscroll Digital is run by SOFTWARECARAFT S.R.L., a company registered in Romania (CUI 51542766), based in Bucharest, Romania. We are the controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@overscrolldigital.com.

What we collect, and why

  • Demo requests. When you use the form we receive your name, studio name, email, the type of studio, and anything else you choose to add. We use it to reply and to build your demo. Legal basis: steps you asked for before a contract.
  • Studio research for outreach. We contact registered companies (Ltd and LLP) about our service. For this we keep business details that are publicly available, such as the studio name, Companies House entry, business email, Instagram handle and public reviews. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering our service to businesses. We do not send unsolicited emails or direct messages to sole traders or individuals.
  • Demo views. Each demo has its own private link. We count when that link is opened, using cookieless analytics, so we know whether to follow up. We do not track you across other websites.
  • Your own visitors, if you are a client. When we run your site, we handle the enquiries and visit counts it collects on your behalf, as your processor. Your agreement with us sets out how.
  • Clients. If you become a client, we keep contract, invoice and payment records for as long as Romanian accounting law requires.

Saying no to further contact

If we contact you and you would rather we didn't, reply “no thanks”, use the “Don't contact me again” link on your demo, or email us. We remove your demo and add you to a do-not-contact list, which we check before every message.

Who processes data for us

  • Netlify (website hosting)
  • Web3Forms (delivers form submissions to our inbox)
  • Umami (cookieless visit counts)
  • Our email provider, for emails you send us
  • Our bank and invoicing software, for clients only
  • Instagram (Meta), if you message us there

Some of these providers are outside the UK and EU. Where that applies they use standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it

  • Demo requests that don't lead to a project: 12 months.
  • Outreach research on studios that don't reply: 12 months.
  • Demo pages: removed after 90 days, or straight away if you ask.
  • Do-not-contact list: kept for as long as needed to respect your choice.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies. It remembers your currency choice (GBP or EUR) in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email hello@overscrolldigital.comand we will answer within one month. If you are in the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In Ireland, the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
